Last Friday I drove from Columbia,S.C. up into the mountains of Sylva, N.C. where I was treated to some of the best Bluegrass Gospel music to be found. Down a winding dirt road and up on the side of a hill you will find a large covered shed known simply as "THE OLE MATER FARM". "MOUNTAIN FAITH" a group of 5 very talented family and friends make up this local group who share their love and commitment of God thru their music. They are a solid, young group, & they have a great web-site. (check it out) But the real treat was a family group widely known in the music world as: "THE ISAACS"! They brought the house down on that hillside as the sun set behind the mountain, where an earlier rain brought in the much needed cool mountain air. The crowd was into the music and helped draw out every ounce of energy and music from the 2 groups. Each group received standing ovations during their performances. If you ever have the opportunity visit, please visit "THE OLE MATER FARM, they have monthly Bluegrass concerts thru the summer into early fall. I'm already planning my next trip back.

	CAPT Steve says: 6/27/2011 1:30:47 PM We had the opportunity to see the Isaacs in Irvington, AL a couple of weekends ago. I've long appreciated their vocal harmonies and stylings, but was wonderfully surprised by how good they were with their instrument playing. Like staytuned, we really enjoyed the evening.
