My custom Bishline came last week. Just getting to post pics here now because...I'VE BEEN BUSY PLAYING!! :)

I'm a bit of a woodworking nut (starting on a new fiddle as soon as I finish typing this, actually!), so I really appreciate it when attention is paid to the wood selection and grain of the wood that's used. The stock that Rob found for both my Madera and the banjo are amazing. Rob - if you read this, these instruments will be in my family for generations. They're works of art! Re: the tone ring, it's the standard Bishline tone ring. I thought about using the Big 10 that I have along with a Tony Pass rim, but every Bishline that I tried and heard sounded great using his stuff, so I stuck with it. I don't regret that at all.
	Joe the banjo guy says: 7/21/2012 9:46:15 AM It doesn't surprise me that it's the Bishline tone ring. That's what I have in my midnight moon, and I thought they sounded pretty similar. I think the Bishlines I've heard do tend to have a unique sound. I don't know exactly how to describe it though.
