I never thought I would make it into this group,but last week I took possession of sn 3339 a 2010 Galax. I like to think that I rescued it. It was locked in a closet for 6 years. Now all it wants to do is sit in my lap. I mean every time I sit down it jumps into my lap. I am thinking of starting a non-profit banjo rescue.
I did need to take it apart and clean it. The previous owner had good intentions and called Bart for his recommendation on the metal cleaner. The only problem was he did not get all of the paste off one it pitted the hoop around the head and under the tail piece.
All back together now and set up and looking forward to years of enjoyment.
