I just had the pleasure of playing an interesting BR banjo. It was a professional style with the internal resonator, fretless with flush fret indicators. Interestingly it did not have a bacon tone ring. It had what the owner described as Barts Texas tonering made of a large brass pipe from a piece of oil field equiptment. Lol. I never heard of this one. Anyone else? I hope Bart chimes in. Maybe an interesting piece of Reiter Banjo history here. :) It was early maybe late 190's serial number. Im trying not to buy it. I really should not spend the money. But it sure was neat and beautiful and sounded great!4 Comments | |
