I just got a new Reiter Galax from Elderly. It didn't have a ferrule on the dowel stick. Is that normal on this model?

Anyone know? Maybe Bart will jump in on this.

	GrizClaw says: 8/16/2013 11:03:23 AM I don't know what Bart's practice is but neither my RP or Bacophone came with a "ferule." I've seen some banjos with ferules that hide a less than perfect joint between the dowel stick and rim....on both my Reiters this join has been spot on perfect. Rick
	jmoathout says: 8/16/2013 11:15:38 AM I mis-spoke. While my Whyte Laydie did come with a ferrule, the Galax did not. And, although I bought one, it didn't quite fit on the Galax and I didn't force it which might have damaged the wood.
