Hey folks,

Would a waverly tailpiece produce a more plucky tone on a

reiter standard?

	scthompson says: 4/4/2013 2:19:11 PM Than a no-knot? I've got a Kerschner on mine, and I feel like it cleans up the tone a little. Maybe a touch less ringy, but still nice and bright?
	jbalch says: 4/4/2013 3:42:16 PM Not sure exactly what you mean by "plucky". An adjustable tailpiece like the Waverly allows you to put more downward pressure on the bridge. That can contribuite to a brighter, sharper tone - maybe with fewer overtones. Everyone will have their own favorite, but I like Presto tailpieces on my Reiter banjos. For me, the Presto creates a ni big open sound that is not too "tubby" but has pleasing overtones.
