I bought my banjola a few years ago at the Will McLean festival from a lady who was in a bluegrass band. She said that even with a pick-up it wasn't "aggressive enough" (loud enough) for bluegrass. I have tried a couple of different bridges and I have come to really enjoy my banjola. I play it around the house more than my banjo.
