I'm getting some really bad buzz on my 3rd string 2nd fret. You can hear it clearly on this video that I just linked to the group http://youtu.be/3ZJ_RMKf6Rc Particularly you can hear it clearly when I slide from 2 to 4 on 3rd string.

At first I thought it as a technique problem, but now I'm pretty sure it's due to wear on the fret wire. that fret wire under that string seems to be especially worn down. I guess due to using the capo a lot there.

I don't think the action is too low. I'm using GHS regular light strings. I will try out some mediums and see if there's any change with that.

But I suspect I'm going to need a re-fret. I can't do it myself, and nobody here knows anything about banjos. Would a guitar repairman who's never touched a banjo be OK for fixing this?

I realize this kind of question is well suited for the open forum since they love talking about this crap. But I wanted to ask you guys first.

Don't take my advice but, haha, I bet a guitar person could do it. I mean one fretted instrument that is somewhat similar should be able to do it. Mandy Song sounds great by the way!
