The low E and A strings are lighter gauge and tuned an octave higher. I have installed a stick on pickup on the back of the head. Until 3 or 4 years ago I didn't play it too often because as you know, these don't sound good when strummed. Lately I've perfected my Travis style picking and a couple of other patterns. This has made a huge difference! I play with a group of Sunday pickers. We play mostly country music, but I sometimes throw in a blues tune. I mostly play country, blues, folk, and what I like to call "Americana". The banjitar can be quite effective for these styles. No, it's not for bluegrass, but that's not what I play. 	john bange says: 12/23/2018 6:18:32 AM Travis style, as well as Cotton style sound cool on a banjitar. I like my Vega 6 string a lot. It seems to fit better in some songs. I don't play bluegrass on any of my banjos either.
