Yes, I was one of many who waded in to the festival this year on Saturday. Was treated to some exceptional pickin, met a few folks, and had a good time in spite of the wind and rain.
I just would like to say how impressed I am and have been with Annie Beach and her Jam Pak musicians. This lady has worked tirelessly helping young folks experiment with Bluegrass and if they like it then mentor them and watch them grow. I had someone tell me Saturday that a lot of these kids are under advantaged! I beg to differ. They have the advantage of Annie Beach and sometimes it only takes one person like her to make a huge difference. We have a Arizona balladeer, a Arizona poet, and other titles. It is time to have a Arizona Music Mom and I nominate the lady with the monster smile and braids.
