2012 Agri-County Bluegrass Festival

From ibudnphx on 2/4/2012 10:18:57 PM

Lots of good pickin last weekend at the Agri-County Bluegrass Festival. It gets larger and larger every year and has just about outgrown its current seating allotment. I am sure that will be fixed by next year. Hats off to our own "Just Bill" and the job he does as MC. He keeps everyone advised of what is going on and keeps the bands on schedule. He is a pretty good talker so I was wondering if he could talk to my wife about a new banjo. For me not you Bill!

They do need to rearrange the seating for next year. I usually try to keep some space around gear at the sound both, but I had people sitting right up next to me and even leaning on stuff. I went up to the stage for one set change and came back to find someone sitting in my chair.
With great bands, and a great MC, I think it's just going to get bigger next year.

LOL! Thanks for the kind words, Bud! :^)

Yep, this year's festival really needed more seating. The Producers of the event were pleasantly surprised at the crowd last weekend.

Alvin, in addition to more seating for the fans, perhaps I should appropriate a roll of yellow police crime scene tape "Police Line-Do Not Cross" in order to protect you and your sound equipment. :^D Or perhaps just a sign that says "WARNING: Alvin has spoons and a harmonica and he's not afraid to use them!" (Inside joke there folks for those who attended Sunday morning's performance...) No, Alvin really doesn't do harmonicas and spoons!

Alvin, as always, it is a sincere pleasure to work with you and I look forward to working with you again in April.

Oh, and hey, Bud; how about I send you a note...something like: "We, the Arizona Banjo Enthusiasts, hereby give Bud permission to buy another banjo, with no restrictions regarding price, brand or model.

(signed) All the "A.B.E.'s)

Do you think that would help? :^)

Bill
