A group for discussing the many genres of music Earl Scruggs plays. It can be anything from his traditional to pop music.

My first exposure to Earl Scruggs was back in the late seventies listening to Rockn' Cross the Country. I'd heard some bluegrass but I really preferred listening to Earl in the county rock setting. I guess you could call me a modern Earl fan. Silver Eagle is still one of my favorites.
I was very fortunate to see Earl Scruggs with Family and Friends about three years ago at a music festival with all kinds of musical styles on the lineup. Earl was still standing when performing at that point and I tell you, when he came in on his breaks he had thousands of spectators in the palm of his hands. The sound he pulled out of that old banjo left me standing there in awe.
