About this Banjo Challenge:

Entries in this challenge must be played in clawhammer/old-time-style in G Modal (sawmill) tuning (gDGCD). "Mountain minor tuning" is used for many old-time favorites like "Shady Grove", "Pretty Polly" and "Little Sadie".

Prizes: 1st prize is beautiful curly maple Boucher style minstrel banjo from Bell & Son Banjos. 2nd place gets a quick-release strap from Morgan Monroe, Shubb capo from Elderly Instruments, plus 5 sets of strings, a headstock tuner, a Pro Winder and a headstand from D'Addario. 3rd place gets a Lakota Leathers strap and a myBanjo 3-way key wrench.
