For sale or trade is a superb-sounding (and superb-looking) Arthur Hatfield tone ring.
Gold plated, long skirt, 20-hole, with engraved "butterflies."
I asked Arthur himself about this particular tone ring over a year ago, and he said he was not sure when he had it made, or who he had had it made for - but personally, I have a pretty good idea that it was made on special order, for a customer who wanted something more deluxe than just an ordinary nickel-plated tone ring.
This tone ring is well worth its price.
I have come across a lot of tone rings, and this one definitely stood out to me.
Full, rich tone with lots of pop and crackle.
