I started a thread in the Collectors Corner forum about a year ago trying to identify these tuners and all the great minds that frequent that corner of the internet didn’t get any concrete answers. I’ve occasionally seen them on pre war Bacon and Day banjos. This particular set works very well if a little tiny bit stiff. They work better than most Ludwig planets I’ve owned. Nickel plated with gorgeous Ivoroid knobs. They have very large spanner nuts (thankfully all are present) and fiber washers that go under them. There’s a fifth peg in this lot that kind of looks like a Schaller but I don’t think it is. I’ll get measurements of the shaft as soon as I find my calipers.
Thanks for looking and please reach out with any questions or any information you might have about these tuners.
