Here's a great sounding TB-100 conversion. Serial #4997-44 is in great condition with the average patina you'd expect from an over 70 year old Gibson banjo. This one has the more rare double bound 3-lug resonator and has the normal finish checking. The rim is the full thickness 3-ply fitted with a Sloan 20-hole flathead tone ring. All of the hardware is original except for the Presto tailpiece. The neck is mahogany with full flying eagle inlay. I was told this was a Frank Neat neck but I have no way to verify that but the "playability" is excellent, Eric Sullivan re-finished it a few years ago. I have added Rickard tuners, Pittman style D-tuners and also have a set of vintage buttons that go with it. Obviously this banjo coming from 1949 has very old wood in the rim. Combining the old rim with the Sloan ring and a good neck produces some sweet old mahogany tone. Comes with a Tkl Concept case that I added extra padding too and also some extra arms for the D-tuners. I have some old Gibson wrenches too if interested.
