This one rings like a bell, cuts through ably, compares favorably to Gibson 3's I have owned- for less $$. Previous owner had consulted with Eric Sullivan to craft this banjo.
*update, just off the phone with Eric Sullivan thus morning: "Steven, this rim and ring was the original combo in the first Legend Series 75 we made. Only one. We changed the name to American Classic. This rim is red maple and the ring is the Sullivan Professional Flathead."
Love this, but have decided to keep a less expensive RK-R85 that has also blown me away- gotta get rid of excess banjos!
