This is an original Bacon/B&D resonator from the 1920's for 11" Bacon banjos. The finish, plating, label, and resonator attachment clamp that is included are all original and came from a 20's Bacon tenor banjo. Being that this is from a tenor banjo, some 5 string conversion neck heels may be a bit too wide for the stock/OEM heel cut out, so you may have to alter something to fit if you have other than a stock Bacon tenor. The round sound holes ONLY FIT/MATCH BACON 24 HOOK SPACINGS.... so this resonator may or may not work on other banjos without alterations. I am only a student of Bacon banjos, so I cannot definitively tell what banjos this fits other than most open back 11" head size Bacon models A, B, C and some of the Peerless and Orchestra models. This resonator mounts to the pot by having the 11" bottom edge of the rim to sit in the metal channel shown in the pictures....it does NOT require a Bacon rim that has the machined dado/mortise in either the bottom inside or outside edge of the rim to mount, so MANY 11" Bacon banjos from the teens and 20's will suit this resonator. Again, being only a student of Bacons and not an expert, I can only surmise this resonator was also offered to Bacon banjo owners as an aftermarket option as well as an option on new banjos as I've seen many Bacon banjos this would suit that were sold as open backs, but have also seen this set up on extant Bacons that appeared, 100 years later, to be OEM equipment, which is the type of banjo this resonator kit came off of. Regardless, if you have a Bacon project that needs a resonator, and it's an 11" head rim, this "should" work. If you have any questions, please ask and I will try to help as best I can.

Shipping....I will bill for exact shipping and insurance, but given postal prices recently, and varied locations that will vary the shipping price, I am providing the measurements of the box I will ship this in to protect it, and you can go to USPS.com to get an idea of the cost to your area. The box measures 17 x 17 x 9 and weighs 5 pounds fully packed. Insurance for the $100-200 bracket is $3.85. I will not ship this any other way than Priority Mail insured to protect both of us as the best insurance is good packing, and I want this to survive as I imagine you do as well.

Ships within USA only. See my other classified listings here for premium NOS bridges and other various parts and supplies. I will happily combine shipping.
