Great playing vintage tenor banjo in very good condition.** It was recently re-fretted and set up with a new bone nut by AcousticBox in Virginia and the original tuners have been cleaned and re-lubricated. The finish is non-original; all wooden parts were stripped and re-lacquered.
The Orchestra 2 model features a seven-piece curly maple neck, ebony fretboard with multi-colored binding and fancy inlay. The "megaphonic tone amplifying rim" is finished with curly maple veneer and solid rosewood cap and was designed to increase projection and volume. It has an arched tone ring. The pop-off resonator has a highly figured birds-eye maple back and marquetry inlay on side. **( there is repaired crack in the resonator side - see photo #10).
Additional info: 11" Remo Mylar head, 23" scale, adjustable tailpiece, adjustable neck brace, 4:1 tuners.
