Bertolle "The Dexter" 5 string banjo. 11 & 1/2 inch diameter, 28 bracket pot, 2 & 3/4 inch deep. Attractive turned hooks and nuts. 26 & 3/4 inch scale, nylon strung. 5/8 bridge gives 1/4 inch string height at the 12th. 20 fret, three piece laminated neck. Engraved MOP inlay. Initial shield. Ebony tailpiece.
Probably made for Bertolle by Richard Spencer in the early 1900's. Has some scars but a nice old player.
