Up for sale or trade, is a Gibson banjo pot assembly, $400 obo.
SPECIAL offer of $500 obo, for the entire banjo and a hardshell case, offer valid until 5 PM today.
I do have a couple video clips I can send to anyone who may be interested.
The neck is a 2004 Gibson RB-250 OPF configuration, with a fiddle headstock and Waverly/Five Star/Keith tuners.
Headstock and heel repairs had been completed on the neck prior to my ownership.
The pot assembly consists of the following:
2004 Gibson RB-250 resonator. I will include the two extra resonator lugs and screws.
There are a couple of minor finish “checks” in the outside sidewall of the resonator.
1925 Gibson Oriole tenor banjo rim, from Oriole banjo #8003-41.
I have modified it to accommodate a OPF and a “Bryant-style” skirtless tone ring setup (I cut the skirt off an RK-36 tone ring and installed a bead of JB-Steel-Stik where the skirt would have normally seated on the rim.)
I have never actually tried a Bryant skirtless ring before, but am fairly confident it would work on this rim with little alteration to either the rim or ring.
2019 Gretsch G9400 flange, Presto tailpiece, and Gretsch co-rods and armrest. Co-rod lag bolts included.
Deering J-hooks and nuts.
Gary Sosebee Select Maple 5/8ths bridge.
Silver Eagle Cradle Strap included.
There are no structural issues with the assembly, whatsoever. It functions properly without any adverse or undesirable effects.
It will be shipped securely and with lots of cushioning.
I removed most of the gold paint, as the newer pictures show.
I will not part the pot assembly out.
Thanks for looking!
