This unfinished 11” pot assembly was possibly made by the Liberty Banjo company of Bridgeport, CT in the 1970s or 1980s. The flange is marked as such, but the tone ring and three ply maple pot have no mark of manufacture I can find.
The 20 hole flathead tone ring weighs an even three pounds and has some light scratches. The one piece flange has some mild pitting and scratches. The rim is of a typical three-ply maple Mastertone style construction, though the area where the plys come together marked by the painters tape is indication of the unfinished nature of this assembly.
If anyone has further information about the pedigree of this assembly, please reach out and I’ll update the listing accordingly. Feel free to reach out for more info or pictures. Thanks for looking.
