This is a nice COPY of a Gibson RB-12. I bought the resonator about ten years ago and originally built a tenor banjo around it. The flange and tone ring are 1960s Gibson parts. The rim is a T.P. Schaeffer block rim. Top tension ring, armrest, bolts, tailpiece and rods are Prucha. In hopes of learning to play five-string I bought the neck from an internet site. The neck is not marked but may be a Robin Smith neck (as it came with a piece of Heartland adjustment instructions). Whoever made the neck did a great job and it's a good finish match to the resonator. Fret edges could use a dressing as they are a bit sharp (probably from binding shrinkage). With the exception of resonator L brackets, all metal parts are properly chrome plated. I can't attest to sound as five-string (but as a tenor it was nearly as good as my pre-war top tensions). If you're not happy in any way, return the banjo (you pay shipping) and I'll refund the purchase price.
