I just got this banjo back in last week, and I am very humbled to say that I had missed a couple of items on this banjo that needed attention, so I have just completed a total set-up of this banjo and I am relisting it now. What I had missed is that someone in the banjos past had hit the flange somehow without the resonator on and caused a slight flattening of one of the segments. There is no structural damage and it is in fact hard to see unless you are really looking. Obviously I missed it. The other important thing that it needed was a new neck to pot fit. The neck had been fit crooked so that the G string would not run straight down the middle of the fingerboard. I can say that the neck fit is perfect now. While doing the set-up I fit it with a new frosted Remo head, replacing the old smooth 5 Star that was on it. As a result of all of this, I am reducing the price of this banjo to what I think is well below a very fair market value to $7900. Below is part of my original description. This banjo is an extremely rare 1927, no-hole archtop Gibson Granada, with an extremely well made 5 string neck, as well as the original tenor neck. Much of the gold on the armrest is worn to the brass. The rest of the gold is in excellent condition. Some of you know that the no-hole Granadas were very rare, Gibson only making the through part of 1927 and 1928. The other known thing about the no-hole Gibsons of that era is that they have a very wide set-up range. You can set the up to sound like Ralph's archtop or set them up to sound like a great pre-war flathead. The reproduction 5 string neck is very well crafted and plays very well. If this banjo doesn't do it for you, nothing will. Comes with hardshell case. Satisfaction guaranteed.
