Very nice sounding vega tubaphone tenor, 17 frets
Beautiful curly maple laminated neck, skin head, nice and tight
Frets have some wear, no buzzing, they seem to be the original thin frets
Binding is missing in both sides of neck, I have the replacement, but I have not got somebody to install it, I will include with the banjo
Hard case is vintage. Probably the original case, some wear, but protects it very well
I have played it in both jazz and Irish style. It has a very nice sound, carries well with fiddles while playing melody in jigs and reels or along with a piano playing Dixieland tunes.
I have another that I play regularly, and just bought a vega 11 -13/16" diameter and I can not play all
It is a great vega banjo
