The arch top banjo probably doesn’t get it’s full due in bluegrass music but consider the likes of Ralph Stanley, Allen Shelton, Doug Dillard, Don Stover, etc who all used the arch top.
The Granger Arch Top walnut banjo begins with a Sullivan 3 ply rim is mated to a no hole arch top ring to give it that truly unique arch top sound. The rim is capped in ebony and bound in ivoroid. A Kershner tail pice is included.
The black walnut neck comes standard with an ebony fingerboard triple bound in ivoroid/black/ivoroid (IBI). A two way truss rod is installed. Spiked at 7, 9 & 10. Waverly tuners are used throughout.
The burl walnut resonator is also bound in matching IBI. The banjo is finished in high gloss lacquer. Shipped in a TKL hard case.
Though never previously owned, I have to classify this particular banjo as used as I do take it out occasionally to play it. The banjo is in excellent condition. A fine instrument should you want to add another banjo to your stable.
