George Washburn 8 String Bowl Mandolin Made 1890's Cremonatone Serial # 136491
A very neat instrument that has 2 labels inside the Mandolin body. One label saying in the middle. THE NEW WASHBURN LATEST MODEL. On top part of label it says, HIGHEST AWARD AT WORLDS COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION, CHICAGO, 1893. on bottom of sticker it says, GOLD MEDAL AND DIPLOMA OF HONOR, ANTWERP,1894. It has the Guarantee sticker for one year providing this sticker has not been removed, It has the Cremonatone No.136491 on the sticker. Seems to be a very neat Mandolin. Wood on back in nice condition. Has a unique Tailpiece. Tuners and Tailpiece could use a good cleaning. A player Tuned and Played and said it sounded Great.
