Ty Piper Imperial. This banjo is a style 0, 1, or shiloh model. I haven't been able to find much on the exact model so I'm basing it off what I know. 1985 model. I believe this is a walnut model. The serial number is 028503. If I'm wrong somebody please correct me. Original owner purchased from Charlie Clark in Oklahoma brand new. I'm the second owner. There was no invoice so I don't know the model number and am going off what I've been told and what little I've been able to research and find. Typical binding cracks, has some scuff marks on resonator edge. This banjo has been played quite a bit but is still in great shape. Ty piper flange and tone ring. The rim looks to be a 3 ply rim not block. I had frets 1-4 replaced by John Gathright in Foreman,AR when I bought it. Plays good and has great tone and plenty of volume to spare. I'm not playing as much and this banjo deserves to be played. Otherwise I wouldn't be selling. Comes with original red lined case, mute, wrench, and a Scruggs Ruben capo.
