Arthur Hatfield neck that was custom ordered to resemble a 1970's Gibson RB-250. The neck is mahogany, with an ebony fretboard. The heel cut is for a one-piece flange.
The strong selling point for this neck, other than Mr. Hatfield's excellent work, is that it has just been re-fretted by Clifford Seales with stainless steel frets. I play one of Clifford's
stainless steel fret jobs and it has made a believer out of me. Smooth as glass, very responsive, and you won't wear them out anytime soon.
In addition to the new stainless steel frets, the neck has nearly new 5-Star tuners that have been upgraded with grained ivoroid buttons.
Spikes are at 7 and 9.
The only issues with the neck are strictly cosmetic. There are some lacquer shrinkage lines and chips that I've tried to show in the photos. These show up more in bright sunlight
than in indoor lighting.
