STELLING WHITESTAR - S/N 2382 made in 1982 according to Stelling website. If you are in the market for a Stelling Whitestar, look no further. As far as I can tell, this banjo and case are all original except that the neck has been refretted by the previous owner. Whoever did it, did an excellent job. I mostly play clawhammer with an open back, so I really dont use the Stelling very much. I recently took it to the monthly jam of the Bluegrass Club of Long Island. One of the best local pickers played it. His only comnment was holy s--t, I think they can hear this baby accross the street. Enough said. You won't be dissapointed. Spikes instaled at 7, 8, 9 &10. Flange is a bit over 1/8". Does not respond to a magnet, so I'm guessing it may be copper.
