Hello everyone, I currently have a 2012 Gold Star GF-85 that I am trying to sell. This banjo is in excellent condition but it does have a few dings and scratches on the peg head and I believe there is one small blemish on the edge of the resonator, which it was already like that when I acquired it back in January of this year. This banjo has a mahogany neck and resonator with the classic prewar style 3 "leaves and bows" peg head and fingerboard inlay. This banjo is all original with the exception of the Remo head(new) and Hatfield bridge(new). I've played it a lot since I got it back in January so the strings will need to be changed before too long. These gold stars are all in all fantastic instruments, value for money you just can't beat them. In my opinion, these banjos play and sound every bit as good than most banjos that I've played that cost twice or three times the price and there I'll say Huber, Deering, Stelling, etc. To my ear and what I like to hear in a banjo, these gold stars are really that good! This banjo is set up very well, it plays and sounds great and has a wonderful 4th string! The banjo will come shipped in a road runner hard shell case. Asking $1,200 or best offer. I am hoping that I can sell this banjo but if I don't end up selling it I will hang on to it and continue to play it. It really is a great banjo and would make someone a great banjo also.
