Very nice sounding five string banjo, projects very well, easy to play, great low action, radius fingerboard. I have been playing it as open back banjo and I did not want to do reassemble it because it sounds very good as it is. But if you prefer I'll be more than happy to reassemble it as it was. All parts original with the exception of a dam bridge.
Neck's width is about 1.18" at the nut
Thin, but plays nice
No reservations on this banjo just a great sounding banjo, easy to adjust easy to modify it to make it sound louder to make it sound softer. Tone ring, top adjusting arch top.
The banjo has the zero fret already included in it as part of its initial set up
One thing that I really like about this banjo it's the multiple laminations in the neck, Truss rod

The banjo has a contessa logo in the headstock but in the head it has the framus logo. I believe it's the same factory just different names for the parts.
