I just delivered a new Flying Wedge case to Russ and took his StreamLine back in trade. The StreamLine is a prototype, first or second one out of the molds, and the finish is one of a kind. It has clear coat, then a bit of gold flake in clear, then bone. The hope was to reproduce the Cadillac White Diamond finish I used to have done by a fiberglass shop here. Looks nice, but too much work to do routinely.
There are a few small nicks and scratches and some moderate divots on the lower edge near the butt, suffered while Russ carried the case with Ricky Skaggs. They are scars of honorable service, which if a buyer insists, I will touch up with bone gelcoat. They do not affect function or strength, however.
The imprint of Russ's Gold Star J.D. Crowe model is still in the crimson fabric of the lid padding. A few bursts with an air hose will take those out if you don't like them. Again, marks of honorable service.
