I am selling a 1981 Professional Quality Deering Calico banjo. This banjo is in excellent shape structurally, but does have some cosmetic blemishes. The metalwork is clean but cloudy in several places. The finish has age checking on both the resonator and headstock/neck area, but it is only surface checking as would be expected for a vintage banjo from 1981. This banjo is a real player. It sounds fantastic and can hold its own in a jam session or up on stage. Frets are still in good shape as is the fingerboard. I currently have the action set for hard driving bluegrass, but it can be easily lowered if that is your preference. Looking for $2100 but may be open to offers.
