This was my first banjo. It originally had steel strings on it, but I took them off because it had friction pegs...which proved to be difficult to use with steel. The fifth string tuner also broke, so I had to take that off. There are a few things you could do with this banjo. You could
1) Install a new friction peg for the fifth string tuner and use nylguts
2) Replace the tuners with geared pegs and use steel strings
Either way, it comes with a bridge. An old '60s - 70s Gibson chipboard case could be included for a little extra.
