Here we have a recently finished JRushing maple and walnut openback w/ cherry pinstripes. 11inch, 3-ply maple hide glue rim w/ rolled brass tonering and walnut cap w/cherry pinstripes. Antiqued hardware, Elite amber head, planetary tuners, no-knot tailpiece, vintage style dowel stick and a maple bridge.
The neck is maple with a cherry backstripe and walnut headstock and heal overlay. Non-adjustable truss rod. Flower inlay is white pearl, rose pearl and brass. Rosewood fretboard w/ maple section near the frailing scoop.
The banjo has a smooth hand rubbed satin oil finish. It also features a slightly longer scale so the bridge sits more center of the head, combined with a taller bridge it sounds more like a 12 inch rim than an 11. Plenty of tone, volume and punch.
