I have for sale a 1996 Deering Sierra. Banjo is in excellent condition. Five star smooth white head tuned to about a "G". During this time Deering made their tone rings fit very tight. The rim has been trimmed down to allow a looser fit of the tone ring. The tone ring will slip on without forcing but is not loose enough to fall off if disassembled. This made a considerable difference in tone. Their is some fret wear on frets 1-5. This fret wear is normal for the age of the instrument and is not excessive. Banjo plays clear all the way up the neck. I bought a Hatfield Buckcreek and don't play this one anymore. There are a couple of very small dings on the banjo but is in excellent condition for its age. Buyer will not be disappointed. Banjo comes with a nice hard case. Case is black with grey interior. I will post pictures soon.
