2009 Martin D-16 RGT. I am the original owner of this guitar. I bought it because it sounded better than anything in the shop that day including the brand new D-18, 28, 35, etc. I am selling because I've got three Martins and two of them have to go.
This one has been my only workhorse in my band, "The Lickety Split Banjo Boys" for the last four years. If you do a YouTube Search of our videos you will see this guitar in action many times.
Many have commented on this Guitar's pop and power. Amazingly loud yet mellow and refined at the same time. A real boomer for sure. The more you play them the better they sound and this one hasn't been hurting for playing time, being my only guitar for my band.
No issues. A few minor scrapes and scratches (nothing that you can't really see in the pictures. Some minor fret wear (which you can see in the one pic.) Nothing bad to say about this guitar really. You can get the specs online. It is basically a scaled down d-28. Mostly the same components and has solid back, sides, and top. Beautiful grain on this one by the way.
It has aged nicely in the short four years that I have owned it. The wood has darkened ever so slightly and the tone has gotten better without question.
Great guitar for anybody who wants it.
