Wow! I was moving a bed for my wife this morning and found two necks under it that were made by my friend. Some of you might remember that I was selling some banjo last year for a fellow who suffered a brain tumor and couldn't play banjo anymore. These necks were made by him years ago and are pretty well made. One is a Hearts and Flowers pattern and the other is Bella Voce. They were made for 2 piece flange banjos but could be modified for 1 piece flange. The other negative which I actually count as a positive is that they are a bit on the chubby or heavy side. This is a negative if you want to bolt them up and go, but it is a positive in that there is plenty of wood to do a re-profile and have a great playing neck. The inlay work on both necks is very well done. One neck, the H&F, is one piece of lightly curled maple with a fiddle peghead. The Bella Voce neck is laminated maple with accent stripes in between the maple and a nice wood purfling under the binding. Both necks appear to be dead on flat. These necks are available at $150 for each. Take a good look at the picture folks 'cause at these prices on these I'm not taking them back.
Any questions or if you need more pictures, give me a shout...Bill
