Here we have a short scale gourd banjo. This instrument features a curly maple neck with a plain maple stick. The scale length of this instrument is 20.5 inches from nut to bridge. Features hand-fit rosewood tuning pegs that do a great job of keeping the instrument in tune. The gourd is a thick hard-shelled California grown canteen gourd and it is 9.25 inches across the head. This banjo features a genuine cowhide head for that real good sound. Currently strung with hard tension nylon strings and plays in standard tunings. This banjo features a specially designed tailpiece that keeps the string pressure off of the gourd to ensure a long lasting and highly playable instrument. Satisfaction guaranteed.
