For sale: 1993 Bart Reiter Special model 5 string banjo SN#1035, banjo is in excellent condition for age, with only very minor fret wear at frets 1&2 . Some lacquer checking on neck, as quality lacquer will do. small place around 5th string peg where finish is slightly flaked(see pics).No scuffs,dings or dents anywhere. Peg head lines are crisp! Edge of pot is same. tuners work great. Neck brace is stamped "Bart reiter" and nice neck contour as found on early Bart Reiter banjos. Neck width is at nut is 1 1/4 . Scale is 26 3/16ths all hardware is in great shape, tuners work great and smooth. Tail piece is older long cam version No-Knot. Head is a newer frosted head.( the original 5 star was signed by some banjo greats so i took it off. Action is 3/32 at 12th fret,with 5/8 bridge, banjo plays and sound great with no issues all. These banjo adapt well to different set ups .
Hard shell case is a Canadian made 5 ply with a strong arched to lid ,it has no scuffs any where and also excellent. I offer a 24 hour approval period with buyer paying return shipping. This banjo has simply not been played alot for being nearly 20 years old, And would would make a nice friend , Hate to sell , but i need a new transmission.
