Doc Watson, Mike Seeger, and Benton Flippen are some of the greats who admire and play these banjos. No tone ring, simply a banjo head on top of a wood rim.
This one is all original except for the head, bridge, and one tuner button. Other than that it came straight out of the Kalamazoo factory during the pre-war years.
These banjos are very collectable as only about 500 or so shipped.
I have this one set up nicely and it plays great. Great price from a trusted seller (if I must say so myself.) Thanks for looking.
