Hey everyone, I started going through my 'parts' drawer, and discovered that I had a lot of pre war goodies.. almost enough to make a banjo, so I put them all together and had one of the best banjo builders in the country put them together for me.. so I am selling this great banjo to raise some much needed Christmas money. The banjo will be ready to go by the end of next week. Here is what you will get-- The banjo is centered around a Huber full flathead tone ring resting on a new Jimmy Cox 3 ply maple rim. The flange is a genuine pre war Gibson 2 piece flange from a 20's style 3. The tension hoop and hooks & nuts are pre war Gibson as well. The hoop is the grooved kind, and the hooks & nuts are the flat ones. These could very easily be changed to a notched hoop, and round hooks if you prefer. The tailpiece is a pre war presto that has been repaired, and the resonator is a new Huber mahogony that was a second. I don't know who made the neck originally, but it has a hearts & Flowers inlay pattern, plays nicely, and is a very nice "Gibson" on the headstock mahogony neck. I'll throw in a decent used but functional case. The parts of this banjo alone come to more than my asking price. Email me at bbanjoboy@aol.com with questions.
