I am selling my 1981 Deering Maple Blossom Banjo. This banjo is in very good condition. This is one of the earlier models of Maple Blossoms featuring the 24 piece Boston style flange. This is a beautiful banjo both in sound and in appearance. I think it has a very pleasing tone and stays in tune very well. The current action on the banjo is set so as to make this one of the easiest banjos to fret that I have played, yet the action is high enough that you can play hard driving bluegrass without any problems. The neck in straight and the fretboard is near pristine condition. This a heavy banjo. It does have a cosmetic issue in that the chrome is starting to come off some of the metal components. Most of this issue is on the tension hoop as you can hopefully see from the pictures. It comes with a hardshell case that is in decent condition. Please look at the pictures and contact me if you have any questions or you are interested in purchasing.
