for sale is a gibson (copy) made by arthur hatfield.... as most of you know it is a very well built banjo. arthur is known for making the necks for alot of builders .i am only selling this banjo because i just happen to purchase a prewar banjo last weekend. and need to recoup my money so my wife will be happy. for start'ers mohogany neck with double cut peghead. rosewood fingerboard with hearts & flowers inlay.( no inlay in the first fret) the neck where it fits the pot assembly is perfect. mohogany resonator cox rim stained to match perfect with the neck and resonator all brand new nickel hardware the picture makes it look dull but is new and shinny i just put a brand new armrest on. and has no tarnish the banjo is a 9 1/2 of 10 because of a little ding on the resonator. that will not show in the picture .the head is a new remo it has been on the banjo about 3 months . i also have some straight bridges and some different bridges if you like it has a early prototype crowe ring that came from bill sullivan (OR I CAN INSTALL A HUBER RING IF YOU LIKE) i know longer have the kieth d-tuners .this banjo has spikes on 7-8-9 frets comes with a tkl hardshell case frets are in great shape. the banjo is less than a year old.the neck on this banjo was for a conversion being made.( the resonator is gibson.....came off a style 3).it is a great banjo i hate to sell it but this prewar has a new home. i hope forever but who knows..you will not be dissapointed this banjo rings like a bell and has that low 4th string and bright high bottom strings and arthurs workmanship does not take a back seat to anybody the banjo is already setup real well my email is wtet2 @embarqmail.com phone # 252-315-0828 thanks stan. i took these pictures with my cell phone so they might not be perfect if any questions give me a call.
