This is a GREAT pot assembly. I got this from RONALD here on the hangout a few months back. According to him, it is a Cox rim (about 30 years old.)
This baby is powered by a gold plated JLS#4 Tone ring (one of the most underrated and under-priced rings on the market today.) It is great for that dry, quick decay JD/Reno sound. The JLS #4 rings are not the newest and flashiest thing on the market, but I will put the sound of this one up against any of the newer, more expensive rings. They are an exact replica of the Pre-War RB-4 Rings.
To top it all of the ring and rim were fitted by one of the best in the business--Mr. Arthur Hatfield himself.
The rest of the hardware, according to the person I purchased it from, is from a 1960s-era Gibson--that is all I know, I believe that it is chrome plated (I am not well versed in spotting this, but it has no tarnish even after being in the garage.) The head is a lightly frosted American Banjo Company head.

All this one needs is a neck, co-rods, and a reso and you are in business.
Why am I selling such a GREAT, top notch pot assembly? I am fulfilling my dream of building a banjo in honor of my dad and I am using the proceeds from this to do so. I would love to keep it, however, you can't have it all!
As with all of the items that I have sold on the hangout this one is top quality and fairly priced!
