This is a 1970's Alvarez Whyte Eagle. I purchased this 3 years ago, but it was damaged in shipping. The heel broke and the resonator cracked. You can read the full story at the address listed below. The banjo was taken to master luthier Henry Volk to be overhauled. It still has the original tone ring, pot assembly and neck, but the tension hoop and resonator were replaced. The heel was repaired and has had no problems during the last 3 years. It is now a gorgeous banjo (in my humble opinion) that sounds as good as it looks. I have included as many pictures as I can, but please feel free to contact me if you have questions. The only blemishes are the heel repair, a little marring on the resonator (see the pictures) and a scratch on the back of the headstock (see picture).
