The late1940s were special years at Gibson due to the production hiatus caused by WW2. This Style 100 was among the first made featuring a double bound resonator. This 100 was converted to a five string by Steve Huber with his mahogany neck with flying eagle inlay. The pot was then fitted with Huber‘s HR-30 tone ring creating a fabulous Bluegrass machine. The hardware is original showing some patina and the three lug resonator hardware had been changed at some point to four and then back to three. If you have any questions or need additional pictures, don’t hesitate to ask. Thanks for looking. Here's Video: youtube.com/watch?v=AdJl6FssEGA
