The banjo features an original uncut, un-machined 1926 rim with a conversion solid flat-top tone ring, and a two-piece flange. These pre-war "pots" are treasured for their warm and incisive sound. The conversion features a fine ebony 5-string fretboard, with no fret wear. The original nickel metal plating is in excellent condition.
This Banjo was part of a collection that we are selling for a family friend. It was kept in a humidity controlled room and is in beautiful condition for a century-old instrument. New hard case and cushioned strap included. Serial #0228-52.
