This is an all original five string All American from 1979. In the pre-war Gibson days only one of these were even made. These were later re-introduced and this one is number 43 from June 23, 1979 remaining in fantastic condition and even its original case is like new. As you can see from the pictures, the AA features extensive gold plated and engraved hardware with patriotic carving throughout the neck and resonator. The pearloid fingerboard features colorful hand painted etched scenes tracking the history of North America, moving sequentially from Christopher Columbus’ ships to the first world war, etc. Here’s an extremely rare opportunity to own a piece of Gibson history.
